CFD Research Lab

The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Research Laboratory is focused on studying and solving complex fluid dynamics problems in various fields. Our work includes research on turbulence modeling, wind engineering, hydropower systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions. The lab is a collaborative space where Master’s and PhD students actively contribute to innovative projects aimed at addressing real-world engineering challenges.
We use a combination of commercial software, such as ANSYS, STAR-CCM+, CFX, and open-source tools like OpenFOAM. Additionally, we develop custom analysis codes to meet specific needs, improving the accuracy and efficiency of simulations and governing equations. Our research includes applications in wind turbines, flow control stertategy, assessing wind energy, hydropower, optimization and machine learning techniques.
